Day Two

Another day.

Left to pick up my mother-in-law about 0445... good to see her, but =p that's too early. Got home and went back to bed. At least she got a free round-trip ticket for her inconvenience.

It seems my wife and mother-in-law have no desire to inform my father-in-law that Hooters Air is owned by Hooters, and that the "hostesses" DO wear T-shirts and short-shorts on the plane. Should prove to be interesting when he boards his plane. =) Even more interesting when he gets here and wants to know why they didn't tell him. roflol

Finished sanding & caulking the back porch today; primed the walls and ceiling before cleaning it up some. Except for all the nastiness on the carpet it's looking pretty good, even if the smell is pungent. Something in the primer smells like undiluted commercial-grade antiseptic.

Discovered my High School's Alumni Assoc is going for a Guinness Record in August: "Attendance of an American high school's class reunion overseas." Don't think I'll be going back to Yokota AB, Japan anytime soon with new twins on the way, but it would be neat to be part of a Guinness Record, even if it is such a cheesy one. =)

Little Bear's haircut was . . . to put it mildly: an adventure. He looks much better, and I'm glad it's over.

Went into his room today after he was put down for a nap and didn't find him! Finally noticed a few inches of leg dangling down from behind the window shade; he was standing in the window -- literally! When I asked him what he was doing, he explained to me that "Daddy, I'm stinky." It was very hard not to laugh. He's funny and he knows it.

Little Bear seems to have the same attraction to Jeeps that Daddy does. He comes into my office and pulls the Jeep repair manual off the shelf, plops it up on my desk, points, and tells me, "Daddy! Jeep! Daddy! Jeep!" every chance he gets. =) Good boy. We'll be hitting Jeep 101 again, as soon as you're old enough to reach the pedals. =D

It's now time for Little Bear to give back my cell phone, get off my lap, and go to bed . . . so I'll sign off.
